Experience:
Having been a partner in Freehill Hogan & Mahar since 1980, Mr. Lenck has had extensive experience in litigating cargo and charter party disputes of all kinds, including trials and arbitrations in New York. He also specializes in the negotiation and drafting of marine contracts, including ship construction contracts, charter parties, stevedore agreements, contracts of affreightment, service contracts and terminal contracts. Mr. Lenck has drafted printed bills of lading for a number of major common carriers. He has had responsibility for the defense of third party claims arising out of several post OPA '90 oil spills, including the defense of class action suits. Mr. Lenck's practice also includes collision, ship finance and freight collection. In addition to authoring articles on maritime law, he has been a speaker at various maritime seminars and has taught at the Advanced Shipboard Management Course at Lamar University on the topic of Charter Parties and Bills of Lading.
