Experience:
In 1998 Mr. Nastro began practicing with an admiralty firm where he concentrated on personal injury defense for commercial fishing vessels and marinas, while also prosecuting marine and aviation cargo subrogation claims for a national underwriter. In 1999 he joined an insurance defense firm where he specialized in defending interstate motor carriers and their local agents against a variety of cargo, property, and personal injury and commercial claims.

Mr. Nastro also has experience with insurance coverage, asbestos and other toxic tort and product liability litigation. He previously participated in the defense of product liability and mass tort claims against a national chemical company in a semiconductor manufacturing litigation. He currently acts as defense counsel in lawsuits alleging workplace exposure to various chemicals.

Mr. Nastro joined Freehill, Hogan & Mahar, LLP as an associate in 2002 and became a Partner in 2008. His practice currently focuses on personal injury, product liability, insurance defense, cargo and commercial litigation, including Jones Act, trucking and terminal liability, before the state and federal courts of New York and New Jersey.
