Mr. Miedel is a 1992 graduate, with Honors, from Rutgers University. He graduated cum laude from New York Law School in 1999. While in law school, Mr. Miedel was a member of the Moot Court team.
Mr. Miedel has spent the past 25 years defending clients in person injury actions throughout New York and New Jersey. He has represented a wide variety of different clients – including shipowners, general contractors, automobile manufacturers and municipalities. Mr. Miedel has also successfully represented consumer, commercial and industrial product manufacturers in mass tort litigation.
- Keller v. Exxon Mobil Corporation, 25 U.S. Dist. Lexis 44043 (S.D.N.Y. 2025) – Plaintiff precluded from using expert toxicologist, summary judgment granted for defendant.
- Hulen v. Crane Co., 12 Civ. 7614 (JFK) (S.D.N.Y. 2013) – Successfully transferred plaintiff’s case to Southern District of Texas based on forum non conveniens.
- In re Seventh Judicial District Asbestos Litigation, 744 N.Y.S.2d 304, 191 Misc2d 625 (Monroe County 2002) – Successfully opposed plaintiffs’ motion to consolidate four cases for trial.
