The EPA has announced that it is initiating overflights to monitor stack emissions from commercial vessels in the upper Chesapeake Bay. This test program is expected to be expanded to other areas of the North American ECA in what is a clear indication of enhanced enforcement efforts of MARPOL Annex VI requirements by the EPA and USCG.
