On May 29, 2019 The Legal 500 released its 2019 U.S. rankings. As in 2017 and 2018, Freehill is placed in the top tier of law firms practicing shipping law nationwide, along with only two other firms. Two Freehill partners, Peter Gutowski and William Juska, were named as two of the four Leading Lawyers in shipping law nationwide. Eric Matheson was named a “Next Generation Partner” and eight other Freehill partners were recommended in the Legal 500’s editorial comments on the firm. Those eight partners are: John Karpousis, Wayne Meehan, Mark Muller, Don Murnane, William Pallas, Mike Unger, Gina Venezia and Jack Walsh .
